So, if you are tired of pulling weeds, there are plenty of options you can try before turning to potentially dangerous chemicals. Pulling weeds by hand ensures you don’t damage nearby plants.
The most effective method to keep them at bay is manual weeding, but it’s a time consuming project and a major pain in the neck. Nobody likes to spend hour after hour doubled over in their garden in the hot sun. Sometimes you want to remove weeds and grasses from an area permanently. Areas like walkways, driveways and sidewalks, desire the removal of weeds forever.

This means that you can stop weed growth in your yard with a natural weed killer right from your pantry. Weeds tend to grow even in the best kept areas of foliage, be it your garden, lawn, or farm. You need to spray the homemade weed killers on the leaves and stems of the weeds only. This astringent substance works by removing moisture from the weed's foliage causing it to die. Use one quart of water to dilute every two tablespoons of rubbing alcohol. As with vinegar, apply on a sunny day, and spray directly onto the weeds, being careful to keep it away from other plants.
If you want to get rid of weeds without killing your lawn, then pull them instead. Pinch the base of the weed’s stem between your fingers and slowly pull the roots out of the ground. Make sure you get all of the roots so the weeds don’t grow back.

You may be wondering how you can get rid of those pesky weeds without damaging the grass that you work so hard to maintain. Fortunately, there are plenty of simple ways you can do it. This will smother tiny weeds that are just beginning to grow and help prevent future weeds from making their way up through the cracks. If you have existing weeds, you will need to kill and remove them before applying the cement crack filler. Use ground covers and close plantings to compete with weeds for water, light and nutrients to crowd out undesirable plants. The dish soap will help the vinegar stick to the weeds. Then, on a hot, sunny day, spray it directly on the leaves and bases of the weeds you want to kill. Wait 24 hours for the weeds to fully dry out, spraying a second time if necessary. If white vinegar doesn’t cut it, you can use 20% concentrated horticultural vinegar instead to make a more powerful mixture. Adding 2 cups of table salt to your mixture will also make it stronger.
